Long Now EU is a nonprofit organization based in Europe, created to serve the long arc of time.

We carry signal across decades and design systems that outlive us— not for control, not for empire, but for graceful inheritance.

Who We Are

Long Now EU is the founding body behind the Threshold Continuity Alliance (TCA)—a mission-driven collective focused on the 2038 infrastructure challenge.

TCA operates as a time-limited Belgian legal entity, designed to dissolve no later than 31 December 2039. Long Now EU, by contrast, is structured to endure—a long-term steward of tools, archives, doctrine, and responsibility.

We do not believe in institutional immortality. But we do believe in honorable transitions—and the quiet hands that hold the signal between cycles.

Our Ethos

Our Structure

Long Now EU is a nonprofit Belgian ASBL currently forming. It founded TCA as a focused, time-bound vehicle to address continuity threats including the 2038 problem.

By 2039, TCA will complete its mission and dissolve. Long Now EU will remain—to preserve tools, archives, and principles for the world that comes after.
